Did you say, "I'm off the wall?" NO! What's on Your Wall !
If you'll look on the right of the china hutch wall, you'll see the tea pot and cup that I got at the Bombay Company a couple of years ago. I loved it, but as you can see, it looks a little lost.
I had grabbed a couple of matted frames with pictures I didn't care about at a garage sale.
Taking the picture out as well as the glass, I had the idea of framing the porcelain tea set. At first I didn't like the fact that it didn't fit inside of the mat, but after playing with it, I loved the idea of it coming out. I thought it gave it more depth.
Went back and bought another set for the right of the hutch!

Oh my gosh, that is the cutest idea! What a unique way to give a small grouping some pop, and the 3-D effect is emphasized with the handle overlapping the mat. Very cool!
