You'll have to forgive me for "tootin' my own horn.... I was so pleasantly surprised at how well my first "horn of plenty" or cornucopia arrangement turned out !
I can't say enough nice things about my teacher, floral designer, Josh Borden of Borden Design Group here in Atlanta. www.bdgblooms.com/
He is so talented and made our class so much fun and interesting to attend. He is responsible for my newest addiction... floral arranging and all of the pretty little containers and gizmos that go along with it!
All of the flowers, berries and greenery I used were real.... except the little squash and pumpkins.
Not sure how it'll turn out since I won't be working under Josh's supervision !
I set the table around it just in case it doesn't turn out as pretty as this one, so I'll have proof of my "artwork"!
Thanks for indulging me and enjoy the rest of the photos...............
"Mama.........you're crazy!"
To see the fresh floral grapevine wreath that I made in my floral design class, keep scrolling down to the next post.
Please join all the others at Between Naps on the Porch for more Tablescape Thursday participants!

Well you certainly have something to toot your horn a plenty about.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely and you did a wonderful job putting this together. I really like how you did the berries and it's full; I think you get yours moneies worth when it is a full arrangement. So
lovely you should be very proud of yourself. Great tablescape too.
How pretty!! And professional looking! I love all of the warm colors and the little pumpkins and squashes are adorable. What a fantastic instructor you must have had, although I do believe you will do just as well, if not better when you create your next!

I love all your beautiful fresh flowers. You're right; once you've used fresh, the fakes never look quite as good. One of my daughter's did wedding flowers for several years and I got to help her. Playing with fresh flowers is soooo much fun. I only wish they lasted a bit longer.
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by to wish you a happy holiday season! I miss you!
ReplyDeleteRose, I sure have missed you. Is everything alright ??
ReplyDeleteOkay - just wanted to say that is was great seeing you last week at Karyn's luncheon. Hope you have a Merry Christmas and yes - we played the Steal the Present Game and you stole mine! That turned out okay - Andy really liked the one I got and he went and put it on the tree right away.
