Hi Friends , WELCOME to my Fall Open House... please come in and stay a while ! Thank you, Kimba at:// httpasoftplacetoland-kimba.blogspot.com for hosting the Fall/Halloween Party. Be sure to stop by her place and visit other beautiful homes!
I don't do much "Halloween" decor, mostly just Fall... but these "Heel Nippers" I adore. They add a touch of whimsy and a smile to my face !
Little "santamaker".....
Thanks so much for coming to my Open House, Y'all come back, now, ya hear?!?
Wow...your home is absolutely gorgeous all decked out for fall...just when I thought I was all finished with mine, then I see yours and I want MORE! The arrangement on the newel and the heel nippers (cute) are adorable... ;-) Bo
Thank you for the invitation to join in. You have such a gorgeous home and are so talented with your Santa making! They are some of the most gorgeous I've ever seen. It's a tradition for my DIL's and me to do the Houston Ballet Nutcracker Market every year, where you see only the best of the best. Your creations are as beautilul as those and surpass most!
I so enjoyed the story of your diverse childhood. I thank God for helping you to find your way "Home"
You have been so generous with your comments on RMS and I want you and all my other friends to know how very much I appreciate you all.
About the rooster thing...I was "collecting" before it was cool...lol! I still have my first little chick. I won her at the county fair when I was 9, so my beautifully textured and painted, glass eyed chalk chick with a chipped tail feather is almost an antique. The rest is History!
I see your a GA girl. Well, so am I. Tommy & I were born & raised in Spalding County (Griffin) until we officially became Texans in 1978. Both our families and childhood friends are still there so we visit often. I especially love being there in the fall!
Again thanks for the invite and hope I didn't blog too long~Gloria (ggmays)

Hi Squawmama, Mabry's Gamma and Marcie, thanks for dropping by and leaving such nice comments. I did forget to tell you I LOVE your santas! I saw you might put them on Etsy. I just opend my store a few weeks ago. I make wreaths, swags, and 3d frames. I bet your santas would do VERY well. I decorate my first house Nov. 7. She likes hers done early, then just 11 plus my house to go!! It's a lot of work, a few of them take 2 days. I'll take lots of pics! Kristen

You have a very beautiful home that looks even better (if that's possible) with all of the fall decorations. Thank you for inviting us all in for a tour! It's better than any home show I've been to.
Your house is beyond amazing and beautiful. I love how you've dressed it up for fall. I could curl up with a book on a comfy chair and be content for hours. So many beautiful things to look at. I have to ask, is the door with the glass panels your front door? I wanted that door to be my front door and my husband said it wasn't practical. I loved it for all the light that would stream in and bless my home. I love all your arrangements!! Thanks for letting me visit.
I would love to know where you bought the lemon topiary and how much you paid (if you don't mind, lol)...because I bought it at a garage sale for $5! It was cream, but I spray painted it a bronzy brown to match my hearth better. So, the lemons came with the topiary, I had wondered about that...how cool that you have one, too :)

That's just can't be right....
Hi Santa, Another beautiful post! Just dropping by b/c I was in my 2nd home, Home Goods, today on another shopportunity! Saw these turkey dinner and salad plates in a blue Willowish pattern (probably by Johnson brothers) for $9.99 for a set of 4 salads. Wish I had my camera with me to send them over to you. They also had some lovely roosters you might like to add to your "farm". And don't get me started on the Santas and ornaments. I wish you could have been with me! How far are you from Charlotte? (wink, wink). Have a great week! P.S. You wouldn't be attending the Southern Lady conference in Savannah this coming weekend, would ya? I'd so love to go, but can't make it. ;O( Boo, hoo, hoo!!

Hi Santa,
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful post!
I'm not participating, but I'm going around enjoying all the decorations. So far yours is my favorite. Absolutely gorgeous!
