I'd like to take you all to one of my favorite cities of all time. Charleston is a place that will take you back a century or two and will always leave a beautiful image in your mind.
We are so lucky that our daughter is living there and is a dental student at the Medical University of South Carolina...MUSC.. This has given us a chance to truly savor this "southern bell" that is Charleston.
Since a picture is worth a thousand words, I will let them speak to you with little commentary.
As you will see, I am a big fan of wrought iron, so I hope that you will enjoy the tour as much as I did taking these pictures.
From here forth are photos that I didn't take myself, but thought it was important to include in your tour of Charleston, to give you the complete flavor of this beautiful city.

ReplyDeleteGood morning Sweet Rose, What a wonderful tour you took us on. I felt as though I was right there. I'll have to put that on the list of "dream" trips to take. My daughter has applied for a couple of positions out that way, and you know I can't be away from her or the grandson long, so if the Lord has it in His plans I'll get to make many trips out east. I loved the wrought iron and dream of having a bit of it around my home one day.. I know yet another dream..(they don't cost ya know?) Have a super w/k my friend..

I would love to visit Charleston again. I spent 1/2 a day there a couple of years ago. I fell totally in love. Can't WAIT to go back again. I agree that it's probably my favorite city. I can't remember ever feeling the same way about a place I'd only caught a glimpse of.

ReplyDelete11th great uncle, Lord Ashley Cooper. It's a beautiful town, beautiful homes, wonderful history, delicious foods, and friendly people. It's sad to live 2,000 miles away from the city and the water and my family!
Beautiful!! I am so glad that people somewhere in time took time to really make beautiful houses and fences!! This probably would't have happened today!!

I couldn't walk 5 feet without having to stop and take a pic.

Now, that was funny! And I so get what you mean about being selective about what I buy...I'm kind of to that point too. Our house here is 300-400 sq ft smaller, 1 less garage bay, and no walk in attic, and if you don't think I'm hurting for space!!! It's killing me...I've already tried to get my husband to move, but that's an ordeal too. I think I just need to learn to use restraint. You'll have to show us your dinner party! Enjoy your trip to Goodwill!
