Here are a couple of snaps that I took while revisiting a Botanical Garden in Winter Park, Fla. where I grew up.
Hubby and I spent many a lazy sunny afternoons here while dating.
Doesn't it look like a painting?
Winter Park is known for it's lush Spanish Moss draped oaks and peaceful lakes.
Also very popular are the Coleus. { Not sure I got the spelling correct on that.}
Such brilliant colors... a feast for the eyes.
Wouldn't you love to climb this tree and nestle in the furry ferns?
Oh... the Palmettos. Just love their fan shape and they remind me of S.C...
Just looking up at this beautiful tree ...
Hope you enjoyed your tour of Harry P. Lue Gardens in Winter Park, Fla. (Just minutes away from Mickey )...

I cannot tell you how many hours I have spent wandering these spectacular grounds ... I have also attended a few very sad memorial services here as well. I lived in Maitland for almost 8 years prior to moving out West 3.5 years ago...did you enjoy WLOQ soft jazz radio? My favorite station...all my out of town guests enjoy shopping on Park Avenue ... I worked for a huge transportation company, spent many hours at Disney, Universal and SeaWorld! Loved driving over to New Smyrna Beach at least once a month..... now ~ your photos are gorgeous!!!! Thank you for them.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing, when I go visit Mickey again I would like to visit these gardens.Thank you for sharing.

ReplyDeleteP.S. Just looked at your kitchen photo, and it reminded me that you have some roosters. Was in Cracker Barrel snooping around today, and they have a new collection of rooster stuff that is very nice. Like green plates w/ brown iron-ish roosters. Nice serving pieces, but I didn't catch the price!
ReplyDeleteOoh, you should show everyone what downtown Winter Park looks like, if you have pics. Jimmy and I went there once and it was so cute!
ReplyDeleteJustine ;o )
