Hurry Spring!
What I love about blue and white is that it looks just as pretty with yellow in the spring/summer as it does with red accents in the fall/winter. A couple months back I posted my tablescape with red accents. You can see it here. Which do you prefer?
This tablesetting is also done with the Spode Blue Room Collection Plates, like the one I did in red, but I'm using different plates.
This is called "Castle" and introduced in 1806..
"Byron Groups" is the name of this design, introduced in 1835.
This plate is called, "Caramanian", introduced in 1809.
Close up of Caramanian.
This design was introduced in 1844 and is called, "Continental Views".
This little guy is waiting patiently for Spring............
You know I "heart" my roosters........
See this little gravy boat? I bought it from Leeza Gibbon's father. He owns an antique store in S.C.
Thanks so much, Susan for being the hostess to Tablescape Thursday !
Hi Rose! This is beautiful!! I love your blue and white plates, of course! And your photos are wonderful! Hope you have a great weekend...Debbie
ReplyDeleteOh I love the blue and white and yellow, the red is also pretty, but the yellow just look so like spring. All of the dishes are just gorgeous and so beautifully put together. Thanks so much for sharing. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteYour table is goregeous in either red or blue. But the blue and yellow just sings! Such a lovely table. I have been a fan of blue and white since I was a child. I always said I'd have a blue and white kitchen, and 21 years later I still do. Have a fabulous thursday!

Hi Rose....I was unable to see the other tablescape in red....Red is always my favorite color but I do love the blue and yellow...so even without seeing the other table I'll call it a draw....Do you ever watch The Family Guy?? We were watching the ladies on NY Tuesday night and every time Betheney came on the screen the husband would say "Giggedy Giggedy"....she really does have an awfully square face just like Peter's next door neighbor....and did you love how someone introduced Simon as the "Owner" of a hotel when he actually is just the manager....He never corrected them...What a nut job.
ReplyDeleteLove the blue and white. Transfer ware is one collection that I haven't started yet, but I will start collecting now!!!

Love your collection of blue & white plates. I like yellow & red - like you said, depends on the season. I think Leeza Gibbons dad closed that antique store (before I EVER GOT TO GO!*&^%$) We passed it when we were looking houses, and by the time I went to look I was told it had closed. BOO HOO! I heard that was a great place to go.
ReplyDeleteThank You for joining me by having a Tea Party! It means so much for you to join me on my Birthday. I will be having My Tea Party April 5 afternoon. I will come pick up your post on April 5. Just post it anytime and I will come by. I can't wait to see it. I went looking at each plate, to see if one of mine is the same, no mine is sail boats and mountians. Can't wait to see your Tea Party. I will be looking forward to having you join me on April 5th.
