Where's the BEEF?

I dedicated my previous tablescape post to my BFF Margie and she just loved it. But guess what?!?
She wanted to know where the food was! Can you imagine that? Well...
I have been trying to behave and eat healthy lately, so I had to try to make it all look good.

I figured if I made the tablescape entertaining, she wouldn't focus on the diet (shhhh) food.

Okay, Margie... here's what you've been waiting for!

How about a berry fruit cup for an appetizer? Looks so pretty, almost makes you forget that you really wanted an awesome blossom, no?

The next course is the soup, here we have some yummy creamy chicken noodle soup...m.m.good!
Yeah, yeah... I know that you had your mouth watering for some she-crab soup, but honey, this is the soup of the day!

Doesn't this salad look so pretty and delicious, it almost makes you forget that you were hankering for lasagna and garlic bread?!?.... really, now try reaaaaal hard to enjoy all of the fresh crunchy vegetables and the oh-so-good grilled chicken.... (Hey, I'm really trying hard to convince you that this is what you're hungry for!)

What a fun lunch. Looks like it's about to spin right off the plate, right?

I have to admit, it wasn't half bad. So sorry you had to miss it.

Okay, are you ready for dessert? It's a beauty....

I think that sugar-free jello with some nonfat dream whip is as good as it gets....YUM!
(can you detect my slightly sarcastic tone?)

It sure looks pretty....

Here you have it, Margie. Our cyber lunch, complete with good for you, yummliciousness!

Rose, this is so gorgeous it should be in a magazine! I loved all of the details. The darling eggs in the jar, the strawberries shaped like a rabbit, and the salad is a work of art.
Just BEAUTIFUL!!!

May be diet, but doesn't look diet one tiny bit! I'd be very happy with that lunch, except the jello. It's the only food I really have trouble eating! Tablescape is lovely. Nancy

Rosie, I thought everything looked wonderful. I really adore those little desert cups. I thought they were tarts at first. I have been eating a lot of salad lately. But, none as beautiful as yours. I really enjoyed your post.

If you're going to make your meal that beautiful and serve it on such lovely dishes, I guess you could almost forget it's healthy for you. Fabulous dear!

It's about time you fed her. She was looking kind of pale there and I thought I saw her eyes start to roll back in her head. If you'd told me that sugar free jello was on the menu, I would have passed on the chocolate molten cake that I had for dessert tonight. ROFLMAO
