"An Ivy League Luncheon"
It's Tablescape Thursday, join Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for this great event!
Come have lunch with me in the "garden"....
These dishes are called " California Ivy"from the PoppyTrail collection, by the Metlox company.
This pattern, California Ivy was introduced in 1946 and is hand painted.
The Metlox company was started in 1920 and originally made ceramic signs. The name was formed by combining the two words, metal and oxide, which are the substances that give the pottery its vibrant colors.

What beautiful photographs of a beautiful table! The china is really unique! Interesting company and pattern. :D Jewel
Your table is so beautiful! I love the way you put in the topiaries and of course bunnies! I have never heard of that pottery. The dishes are beautiful and I love the way you used ivy around the napkins! You are a pro for sure! God Bless! Lauralu :)
What a lovely first of spring tablescape. I just don't have it in me for some reason. You tablescaping ladies intimidate me. If I ever venture into Tablescape Thursday it will have to be tongue in cheek!
What a beautiful tablescape! You tied it all into the theme so well. I love those Battenburg lace napkins! I love that kind of lace, and have some curtains in it.

Rose, what a great china pattern. I was not familiar with it, so I enjoyed getting the history. Love the way you tied it all together by using the ivy on the napkin rings and on the candle sticks. laurie
Your china reminds me of my favorite (in all the world) ground cover ~ English Ivy. Your photos are lovely and perfect with spring approaching most of our country.
Love the Metlox china -- it is vintage, but it's got such a fresh look. Timeless and beautiful.
