We had read and we were discussing The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer.
.
I think most enjoyed it more than I did, but that didn't stop me from having a great time talking about it.
Of course you already know the purpose of a great bookclub is to get together, drink, eat and gossip , oh yeah... discuss the book, I guess... . Well, it was interesting, but not really one of my favorite books by far.
..besides the above reasons I enjoyed the day...
Was that our hostess with the mostest has a beautiful home...
(Is this not the cutest chest you ever saw?!? .... she knows I have my eyes on this!)
all dressed up for Easter........
The food was not only pretty, it was delish...................
Look at these deviled eggs.......
Not to mention the artistically created and crafted "bee-hive butter" that she made to go with the little mini muffins..........
Now for the Recycled Grass part of the post....
Last year I planted wheat grass... so I thought I would "recycle" these photos and show them a second time! Hope you don't mind. You know how I like to be "green" and all....
It was so fun and simple... almost overnight, it grew to look like this!
See that cute little "chocolate" bunny?
Not trying to brag...but the famous Gollum gave it to me!
My dining room was adorned with the prettiest grass I'd ever grown...
I just stuck little purple silk flowers in it..........
here's one happy bunny munching on grass..........
Be sure to visit Susan for more tablescapes!
Happy Easter Everyone!

Everything is just gorgeous. I love it all. The lemon topiary and the lemon painted chest is just wonderful. Hugs, Marty
What a fun prelude to Easter! Loved all of your grass - I really should try that. Maybe I could succeed at growing that! Have a great Easter weekend. Sally
Beautiful! I had forgotten about wheat grass...Since my hardware store closed, I am not even sure where to find it. Guess you know what I'll be doing this afternoon...
Have a wonderful Easter.
He is Risen!

OMG girlfriend! ...It should be against the law to own so many beautiful things...lol
Your home is amazing and you have been blessed with so much talent .. but I'm soo glad that you are here to share with all of us.
I didn't get to put out all my Easter decorations this year cuz I've been so busy taking care of my 90 year old Mom.. but after looking at all your beautiful stuff ...and "the grasses" ..I wish it was not to late .. Oh well .. next year. :^)
Thanks for sharing.
Hugz ... Betty
I wish I had known where to find wheat grass for this year...yours looks phenomenal!! I love ALL your decorations from last year & I gotta tell you, MY book club never ate that good.
How on earth did she make that butter bee hive?????
First of all, I had to "visit" a blog entitled "Santa Maker" and I look forward to exploring that title further. For now, I have very much enjoyed Easter with you. Love the big eared bunnies--and everything else.
My book group "The Muses" read the Guernsey book. I liked it. I didn't love it. It took me awhile to warm up to the epistlatory (sp?) style. We've just discussed "The Help" which I liked very much. I'm the only southerner in the group so had a lot to add.
Thank you for such a beautiful post.
Best,
Bonnie
Gorgeous table...love all the bunnies!
Happy Easter to you and yours.
Great post! Enjoy your sense of humor as much as I enjoy you pics. Happy Easter.

Hi Rose! Oh, what a nice view into your book club meeting! I love those little skinny bunnies.
Now your place - always stunning! The chocolate bunny is adorable.
Thanks for popping in.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
"Muchos grass-ias" for showing your lovely wheat grass! I also like the white tree branches in the vase as an Easter tree. Happy Easter, Santamaker!
If you get the opportunity, stop by Applejack Lane.
What stunning displays you've made..
I enjoyed every moment i spend here looking at your photos and then going back and looking again...
I have a chest to redo and while I may not succeed I must try to make it look like the one in your photo.
its just DIVINE~!
Have a "Sonny" day and thank you so much for visiting me and leaving such a kind compliment.
I love the book club hostess home. She did such a nice job decorating. I also love the grass recycle. That's something I've always wanted to try for spring time. Happy Easter!
ooh.. love that chest too. and the tree on top.. cute...
So many cute things. It took me a while to see everything. I like that all.
Wish you a happy Easter.
Johanna
I wish I belonged to a book club when I see/hear how you describe the fun - especially the eating and gossiping! LOL! Gorgeous Easter decorations and love your grass!

Growing your grass! What a great idea. I love how you decorated with it. I'll have to try it out.
Hugs,
Joanne
I remember when you planted that wheat grass!!!!
Your friend's house does look beautiful. And thanks. Now I'm in the mood for deviled eggs!
Justine :o )
We read that book last month in our book club too. I felt the same as you, not one of my favorites but I got through it and the discussion is always better. Love all the pictures of the food and table :) What are you reading next? I'm trying to get through Ian McEwan's Atonement for April's meeting!
Gosh everything is just too cute! I love that lemon tree, where is it from?
Hi Rose! Love your Easter decor! The grass is a great idea! My bunny says hi to yours! lol And...I love that chest, too! Happy week!...hugs...Debbie
That is beautiful! I love the grass..would you remind me next year, LOL
About the book. I can't get into it.. I love to read, but for some reason, I am not loving this book! My sis gave it to me and keeps asking me how I like it..errr umm???
When's the next adventure with Crazy Sue and Joyce?? :)
O, everything looks just beautiful.
Love your Gollum bunny, too.
Now, about the grass..which is beautiful, by the way...just sprinkle seeds on top of dirt and water? OMGosh...I can't wait to try this.
Beautiful Easter table!!
Yep, between burlap and numbers being so hot, I am worn out trying to gather it up. 'Course, you know about the time I get it all and things are lookin' good...it will all change and probably silks and satins will come back strong.
I do know the HOT thing for this summer is florals...on everything. The reason I KNOW...POTTERY BARN told me so!! :))
As you might figure, I had one of those egg candles like you used in your centerpiece, and now I'm wondering what I've done with it! Your collection is so cute and looks great in the centerpiece. Love the bunnies on the tiered egg plate & the centerpiece tree she made from sticks and wooden ornaments. Your grass Easter decor is adorable. Way to go green! ;)
