Looks like a great birthday party! What a cute computerized picture. 50 is the new 30 if you just turned 50. At my age, 50 is the new 20! See, we're getting younger instead of older.

Happy Birthday! I finally know your first name! Yippee! Just remember, it is better to turn 50 than to not! My mother was seriously gray by the time she had turned 50 and I only have just a sprinkling of gray so far so it really must be the new 30!

Happy Birthday Rose, your friends are so funny, my friends (overnight) tied balloons and banners to the trees along my street for me to wake up to on my 40th Bday, so for my 50th I excaped with hubby and the kids to Italy, god knows what they would have done!!!. Congrats on being published BTW I adore your Santa's, it's not so bad being 50, I sure would not like to be 21 again!!!. Kathy

Well god bless your hubby for giving you a young body! Mine probably would have attached my head to a 100 year old man just for laughs. It's cool that your friends went to so much trouble to decorate your home. My 50th is looming and I'm not to sure how I feel about it. But HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I'm sure you'll make 50 look good!

I received this in an e-mail, and immediately thought of you. Hope it makes you smile!

Perks of reaching 50 or being over 60 and heading towards 70!

01. Kidnappers are not very interested in you.

02. In a hostage situation you are likely to be released first.

03. No one expects you to run--anywhere.

04. People call at 9 pm and ask, "did I wake you?" (I know this doesn't apply to you b/c I see that you're a night owl too.)

05. People no longer view you as a hypochondriac.

06. There is nothing left to learn the hard way..

07. Things you buy now won't wear out.

08. You can eat supper at 4 pm.

09. You can live without sex but not your glasses.

10. You get into heated arguments about pension plans.

11. You no longer think of speed limits as a challenge.

12. You quit trying to hold your stomach in no matter who walks into the room.

13. You sing along with elevator music.

14. Your eyes won't get much worse.

15. Your investment in health insurance is finally beginning to pay off.

16. Your joints are more accurate meteorologists than the national weather service.

17. Your secrets are safe with your friends because they can't remember them either.

18. Your supply of brain cells is finally down to a manageable size.

19. You can't remember who sent you this list.

And you notice these are all in Big Print for your convenience.
Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.
